I got the following information from my RSS reader: JavaScript vs. Flash for Animation
from WebReference News "When you think of interactive multimedia on the Web, you probably think of Flash. But Flash creates accessiblity problems, especially for those with disabilities. A solution is to use JavaScript, which avoids many of the issues inherent in Flash. By Lisha Sterling. 0516"

I liked your analysis of this issue in class today. Oh wait....
Mark, Lisha doesn't seem to have much good to say about Flash. Do you agree with her? Roy
Having had to do a concept of operations study for Section 508 compliance for a government agency, I understand her concern. We have started putting so much into single web pages that the disabled are having a harder and harder time using the web unless we keep Section 508 compliance in mind. Of course, only the government seems to be really obligated.
So JavaScript is better than Flash, who knew?
